What to Expect
We offer a FREE, 15-minute phone consultation to learn about our services and explore how we can support your unique needs.
Next, we'll work through the following steps together:

Intake & Screening
Our first scheduled session will combine the intake and a screening for neurofeedback services. This session will determine if you’re a good candidate for NFB training. If not, alternative services or recommendations will be provided.
At the end of this session, you will be scheduled for a 19-channel QEEG assessment.

QEEG Assessment
The QEEG assessment is completed by placing a cap with nineteen sensors on the head. A small amount of gel will be placed into each sensor to get good connection with the scalp. During the recording process, you will be asked to sit still and quietly with your eyes open and closed for 20 minutes total. After the recording, you can expect to have gel in your hair that washes out easily with water.
Prior to your next session, your Clinician will analyze the recording to develop individualized training protocols to address your needs.
Before your neurofeedback session your Clinician will go over your results with you - explaining top findings and the reasoning behind training protocols.

Neurofeedback
For Neurofeedback sessions, sensors will be placed on the scalp and ears using a small amount of paste that's cleaned off before you leave. During a training session you’ll watch a computer monitor and engage in a game-like activity. The real-time feedback from this activity helps guide your brain to self-regulate atypical brainwave patterns that were identified during your QEEG assessment.
Your Clinician is actively involved in all aspects of the training process. We provide coaching, coping skills, and case management as needed to help you succeed.
